Shannon is a dream to work with. She understands how to train adults to lead their dogs and gives us the confidence necessary to work with our dogs and create healthy habits.Her sense of humor doesn’t hurt either!

Incredible experience working with Shannon and the board and train program. Our dog was fearful, reactive and shut down when we tired to correct behaviors. We have no confidence in the dog or ourselves. Shannon worked with our dog and us as owners. After four weeks, we got a different dog back. Confident in both our dog and ourselves, we can now hike off leash and spot/handle potential reactive situations. I would recommend her to anyone that has a dog with behavioral issues.

Shannon is the BEST! She worked with our Great Pyrenees, Bodie, before the arrival of our little one, and we couldn’t have asked for a more understanding, fun, and effective trainer.

ABSOLUTELY cannot recommend Coastal K9 enough! I have a reactive German shepherd rescue and when we found out he was reactive I was lucky to have found Shannon. Her techniques worked amazingly fast. He was so responsive to the training and her insights helped me understand him better so I could help him long after our sessions ended. I have a much stronger relationship with him because I know what to do for him that I could not have built without Shannon. If you are on the fence, jump, because you WILL not regret it.

First met Shannon 5 years ago when Huck was a puppy. Before her space in Salem.
We had the best experience with her!
Huck moved quickly through his training and she spent time training us!
He & I did some other things with Shannon; like scent work & finding items.
He went to day training to smooth a few things, she made it look effortless.
This all set the stage for adopting Duffy.
He was a 3yo Sheltie with tons of reactivity.
Shannon had worked with him@ board & train.
He went back to his owner, but Duffy needed something eles.
We adopted him, honestly there were moments we were ready to give up.
Consistency, trusting Shannon and going on 2yrs he is integrated into the herd of animals we have. We can take him in public, out to lunch, camping & boating. All things that were difficult and required planning.
Loves living on the farm still has his sheltie barking and cautiousness but turned into a great dog.
Highly recomend Shannon you will not be dissappointed.
So sad she moved away.

Shannon was incredible to work with. Our dog was struggling with leash walking anxiety, snd calming down. She worked with him and us to work towards our goals in a very functional way. We learned so much during our visits with our dog along the way and she communicated with us along the way. After just three weeks we can walk our dog on his leash with ease, take him almost anywhere dogs are allowed, and just enjoy our dog more overall while giving him exercise and fun! We were able to have lunch on a patio with great success, walk our dog off leash with confidence, and so much more. I would recommended Shannon’s services to anyone struggling with any behaviors.
